DIY pool toys

Looking for something to do while most everyone is having to stay at home? Here are some ideas for DIY pool toys that families can make together and then enjoy in the pool at home (on days that it is warm enough!). You more than likely have some or most of these items on hand, so a trip to the store isn’t necessary either.

  • Make toys from unused sponges!

Cut a sponge into 4-6 strips and then tie them together in the middle. Pull them into a pom-pom that kids can use. You can also use cookie cutters to cut the sponge into fun shapes!

  • Pool noodles

Pool noodles are great on their own but can be used for so much more! Tie several together to make a raft or figure eights. Create a sword using duct and electrical tape.
